Sertig

The Sertig Trail in Davos is legendary and a flow trail that is second to none. On the tour, you climb up to the Rinerhorn and ride back via Sertig and Clavadel.

Description

From Davos, the tour rides along the cycle path towards Davos Frauenkirch. At Islen, the path branches off to the left and rides over Wildboden to Heidboden and Junkerboden. On a dirt track, partly on singletrail, you reach Spina and climb up the road to the mountain station of the Rinerhorn cable car. The trail continues slightly uphill to Aebirügg. A gently sloping, exciting singletrail now rides to the back of the well-known Sertig valley. On the way back, another trail branches off to the right just below the Sertig village and rides back to Clavadel and Davos on the opposite side of the valley.

I rode the tour like this or similar today. But the Sertig Clavadel section was the last time like this. I have no desire to push the bike 2km downhill.
It would be cool if Ride would do something about it, from the farm there is more or less a tarred road, I just don't understand why they put obstacles in the way of the bikers. Or how about adapting the route, @ride ?

Haven't been there for a while...does that mean that from Stadleralpaweg (which is still somehow understandable) including Eggabodenstrasse is closed to bikers?

The tour is not worthwhile. The Rinerhorn ride to Sertig is very beautiful and a lot of effort is being put into separating hikers and bikers. Unfortunately, the signs prohibiting biking back to Clavadel are still in place and you have to use the road to Clavadel, which means a lot of expensive meters of altitude (muscle power or train ticket) have to be lost on the busy tarred road. It's a pity that no solution can be found with the mountain farmers so that the official route 647 can also follow the mountain path to Clavadel.

Rode the tour today. I think the classification of 2/6 for the technique is too low. I also found a classification of 4/6 on "Herbert", which I think is more accurate. Gave us a few kilometers of hiking and biking today ;-).

Super

On the descent Sertig --> Clavadel there are now two brand new (general) no driving signs at the farm "Boden". (Start of gravel road from point 1817 to point 1756)
I don't know what's got into the farmer's family, but they insist that bikes are bumped on this section. Well, it will be interesting to see how this trail continues. It's a shame that the DDO couldn't find an amicable solution.

The official website of Davos Klosters states: "On the way back, please use the road to Clavadel, as the single trail is exclusively an uphill E-MTB trail".

The trail from Sertig back to Davos is now prohibited for bikers (sign at the start of the trail). However, it is still marked on the official Davos bike map.

The trail to Clavadel is not forbidden for bikers, otherwise there would be an official prohibition sign. The sign is a somewhat controversial request to take the road for the descent. If this measure survives this season at all, it will probably not be continued next year.
