Monte Tersadia

Monte Tersadia

Monte Tersadia in the heart of the Carnic Alps offers a magnificent ascent, an excellent view and a varied trail descent from Paularo.

Description

The tour begins in the small village of Paularo, nestled in beautiful mountain formations. The route descends along the Torrente Chiarso and then continues on asphalt through the residential area towards Monte Palis. The route then continues on gravel and finally pushes up to the summit of Monte Tersadia (1960 meters above sea level). The last 200 meters uphill are on an Alpini road from the First World War. The view from the ridge is magnificent and almost unique towards the south. The paths and infrastructure can be traced back to the First World War and also offer a perfect trail descent from the summit.

Between difficulty levels S1 and S2 and only occasionally S3, the route heads down the ridge towards Monte Cimon and then towards Forcella di Lius. At Forcella di Lius, you pedal on gravel towards Sortisella and from here on very flowy trail sections back to Paularo, where the loop comes to an end.

Repeat and then judge!!! In two years the terrain could possibly have changed for the worse.
Sorry, but in the current state please point this out!
L.G. State-certified mountain
& ski guide who knows the terrain
in nature.

Thanks for the info anyway! and as you say things change // as I also quoted the 2 transitions.

As you can see in the video, things have changed for the worse.
We were very annoyed, hence the somewhat harsh words!
Sorry.

The tour was recorded a year ago, unfortunately Friuli - as you also know - is a congested area as far as weather is concerned - hence the extreme events... Uccea has one of the highest annual rainfall values in Italy - thanks for the feedback anyway - and please remember next time that these are military trails that are not always maintained....

When (year) is this assessment from? S1/S2 Selective
-S3 !!! Irresponsible !!!
Such a guy must be prosecuted under civil law!!!
Typical "Tepp Pauli

The tour was ridden in 2015 and 2016. If you are interested, there are also pictures of the ascent and descent (i.e. from those years). May I ask what the problem is? that is not clear from the comment... // Please also bear in mind that this is an alpine tour and not a bike route. Trails change a lot, especially in this area. The best example is Forca Nuviernulis 1732m - from mule track to climb in just one year. Another tip would be Monte Vualt in combination with the Cjasut dal Sior. Greetings Martin

Did some quick research - in November 2022 the trail was still good to ride - there is even an entry on the komoot planning level

Long and entertaining trail with medium technical difficulty, very varied in terms of panorama, background and commitment. "

So I'm all the more surprised now!
