The Tabarettascharte right at the foot of the Ortler offers an overwhelming descent to Trafoi and a stretcher ascent that is hard to beat in terms of scenery.

The Hintere Schöntaufspitze (3325 meters above sea level) near the Madritschjoch is a rewarding 3000-meter peak that offers a clever shuttle combination for an enduro circuit of around 18 kilometers and 2500 Elevation loss.

At the foot of the Ortler lies the Payerhütte at 3029 meters above sea level. It is particularly attractive for high-alpine mountain bikers, as the mountain bike route can be combined with the summit ascent from here, while the long and challenging super descent to Trafoi starts here.
