Reppischtal
Description
From Triemli in Zurich, take the standard route up to the Uetliberg and enjoy the fantastic view of the city center, the lake and the Alps beyond. Later, you head into Reppischtal via Waldegg and climb up the opposite side of the valley to the ridge to the west of Reppischtal. Follow this ridge southwards to the Müliberg. From here you reach the Türlersee lake and climb up to the Albispass. Over the Hochwacht and over the Albishorn, you now follow the Albisgratweg for a while, but then turn left above Sihlbrugg and reach Sihlbrugg railroad station. Here you climb a steep mountain road up to the Horgenberg. If you don't want to exert yourself too much, ride along the Sihl for a while and then climb up to the Horgenberg on a small road. On the singletrail over the ridge of the Zimmerberg, you reach Gattikon parallel to the highway, ride down to the banks of the Sihl and follow it to Unterleimbach. Follow the edge of the forest past Albisgüetli back to Triemli.

I did the tour last Saturday (in the opposite direction). Unfortunately, some passages along the Sihl and in the Waldnispark Sihlwald are forbidden, which costs a few kilometers and nerves. In addition, the beautiful descent on the Antennentrail is omitted (it is originally ridden up there) and it would be better to ride down to the Albishorn than up.
Perfect tour for those who like to torture themselves up XC and are not looking for big technical challenges. Apart from a few key sections, I would describe it more as a gravel tour than an MTB tour.
In terms of riding technique, I would give it a 2 at most. Due to the sometimes very steep sections, I would rate the fitness level between 3 and 4.
There is an extremely steep section up the Albishorn where it was easier to carry the bike on your back than to push it. The path directly alongside the lake is closed to bikes, but you can simply take the next turn-off to the right without taking a long detour. The long descent is practically forbidden for bikes throughout. The alternative is a gravel path.
If you want to finish with a nice trail, I recommend either taking the train up at Adliswil or, for the very fit, riding up and then taking the Höckler Trail.
