This is made possible by a magnet located behind the pedal axle, which enables up to 15 kilograms of traction depending on the selected magnet strength. As the pulling force acts primarily vertically, it should be possible to get off the pedal sideways with almost no noticeable resistance. Solid and "light"

The Magped pedal is equipped with three high-quality, sealed industrial ball bearings. The pins in the pedal cage can be replaced if necessary. In addition, the neodymium high-performance magnet can be adjusted in height via a special integrated polymer suspension. Installing the magnet in such a way that it can be adjusted in height and is also flexibly mounted was the biggest challenge during development. In addition, the entire construction had to be dirt-resistant.

The pedal is constructed from a lightweight, CNC-milled aluminum cage and a chrome-molybdenum spindle. The weight including the patented magnet system is only 452 grams with the 100 Newton magnet and 474 grams with the stronger 150 Newton magnet per pair. This is not a heavy weight for this type of pedal.

The Magped pedal can be used with any SPD-compatible cycling shoe. A shoe plate made of rust-treated special steel serves as the connection, which is mounted like a cleat with two screws and in a few simple steps. Unlike other systems, dirt should not be a problem for the Magped.
