BMC with the prototype of their E-MTB

On the fringes of Eurobike, BMC presents the prototype of its E-MTB project. The e-bike should be available in the first stores in mid-2017 and will be in the mid to high-price segment.

Just a short press release with little information - BMC wants to make it exciting for their first E-MTB. The prototype features a Shimano motor with a semi-integrated battery in the down tube. The frame is made entirely of carbon. At first glance, the E-MTB gives the impression of a fun all-mountain bike. The first models should be available on the market as early as spring 2017. A larger selection of different models will follow in the fall of 2017. There is no word yet on prices, but BMC has stated that the bikes will be in the mid to high price segment. More details will be known after the product launch next spring.
