The outdoor app Komoot is said to have been sold for around 300 million euros in March. A spectacular coup for the six founders, who disappeared without a word after the deal. What remains are stunned employees and the accusation of having betrayed the company's once celebrated values.

The app for hiking and biking is going on the road itself and landing in Italy: Milan-based tech company Bending Spoons is the new owner of Komoot. Applications such as WeTransfer, Remini and Evernote are already under this company umbrella.

After the great success of the komoot Women's Rallys 2021 and 2022, komoot is organizing three more rally events in 2023 as a joint project with Lael Wilcox. The series includes two rallies in Europe, on the Canary Islands and in Slovenia, as well as one in the USA.
