At the moment, Migros is in a state of flux, but it is slowly becoming clear what will happen next: the Migros specialist store melectronics is rolling under the Mediamarkt umbrella. The sales process for Bike World is now also starting, with a new owner being sought.

It is not just Migros companies such as Hotelplan and Mibelle that are to be sold. The major sports retail players SportX and Bike World could be carved out of Migros and find new buyers.

It's like the planned marriage of David and Goliath: Migros is looking to cooperate with local specialist retailers with its Bike World format. This would bring Bike World closer to the customer, while local retailers could benefit from Bike World's strong market position. Initial talks are already underway.
