Vertical instead of horizontal: Will the traditional rear bike rack soon be a thing of the past?
Bicycle rear racks for cars are well established. However, long wheelbases, wide axles, poorly positioned shock absorbers, or low-slung top tubes often make loading a hassle. With Push Components and Fastrack, two German brands are now introducing new concepts to the market. Instead of loading the bikes crosswise onto the rear, they hang vertically from the vehicle. This is intended to make loading and unloading significantly easier.
