Brooks has been around for 150 years - the American shoe brand Vans for 50 years. Time to celebrate this anniversary. On the occasion of the Vans Vault line, designer Taka Hayashi was asked to create his own joint line of shoes and bags.

BMX is one of the sports that helped Vans to establish itself in the sports world in the 70s and 80s. The development of BMX into downhill mountain biking showed that the sport required a far more technical and specialized product than a normal skateboard shoe. For this reason, Vans decided to develop a shoe that addresses the needs of BMX and mountain biking in order to offer the bike scene a functional but also stylish shoe.
