"The cycling industry was missing a convenient way for cyclists to meet up, plan rides together and enjoy our sport on the go," emphasizes JAGZ founder David Jaget. "JAGZ is a mobile companion that connects people who share the same passion and makes cycling even more convenient."

After downloading the app, users can choose whether they want to be seen as a traveler, host (friendly local), professional guide or business.

Jaget explains that a "host" is simply a friendly local who makes themselves available to potential travelers. The host has the option to charge for their time per hour. Pro-Guides can create multiple detailed tours and set prices per tour. Pro-Guides, bike stores and tour operators can also offer bike rentals via the JAGZ app.

The "engine" of JAGZ is a button on the start page called "MyTown". There you can create or join group rides and events such as races, test days, training sessions, shuttle services and afternoon events. Bicycle activities in one's city are displayed on an interactive map that allows participants to simply tap "Go Ride," and the event is automatically synced to the user's calendar.

Further, Jaget says, "It's not always about the KOM and the elevation gain, sometimes it's about the places and the people."

Obviously, the cycling world sees it that way too. In the few months since JAGZ was launched, the app has already featured hosts and guides from South Africa, the Philippines and Croatia to Canada, Colombia and Brazil.

"There's nothing better than getting in touch with a friendly local. They are always the friendliest, most genuinely enthusiastic cyclists in any given place. That's why I say JAGZ has the best cyclists in the world," emphasizes Jaget. The 5-star ratings and wow comments seem to confirm this fact. "The reality is that there are only guides in a few places in the world. But you know who's everywhere? Hosts!" emphasizes Jaget.

Upgrades and improvements to the app continue with the soon-to-be-released "TownSquare", a bike-only newsfeed. Information and booking details for bike-friendly accommodation and campsites are also in the pipeline.

JAGZ is a global online community of mountain bikers and cyclists founded by a father and son team who want to share their passion for biking, traveling and meeting other riders and make it easier for others to do the same. JAGZ offers the most comprehensive resource for planning mountain bike, road and gravel adventures at home or while traveling. Users can search for destinations around the world and choose from thousands of hosts, guides and tours. They can also connect with other cyclists in their hometown and create or join group rides and events. The interactive cycling calendar allows users to browse upcoming races, demo days, trail building events and more.
