The World Cup downhill race in Séstriere, Italy, has been canceled and moved to L'Oisan-les deux Alpes, according to a statement from the UCI. Everything will remain the same, only the venue will change. Nevertheless, such incidents make you wonder why the UCI loses an organizer so close to the start of the season every year.

In addition to professionally designed bike parks, the naturally flowing single trails are particularly impressive. The "Alpi Bike Resort" offers a diverse range of trails and pistes, some on high alpine rocky terrain, others on soft wooded terrain. From downhillers to Eduro riders and touring riders, everyone is catered for here. Already in its second season, the bike paradise has 12 mountain railroads, over 50 freeride routes and hundreds of kilometers of bike trails to offer. The project includes the towns of Bardonecchia, Cesana Torinese, Chiomonte, Claviere, Pragelato, Prali, Sauze d'Oulx and Sestriere and is set to be further expanded by June 2010.
