The Isartrails on the outskirts of Munich appear to be one step closer to realization. Construction work is set to begin in winter 2026-27. Ten years after the first officially accepted concept, the official trails in the Isar valley could be realized. But perhaps it will take a little longer.

The Isar trails are the home turf of Munich's mountain bikers and a bone of contention, especially since coronavirus. The city and district of Munich want to calm the situation with a management concept. The budget indicates that they don't want to do things by halves.
