Scott Contessa - bike line for women

Since their invention in the '70s, mountain bikes have undergone enormous development: A multifunctional bike has become a high-tech piece of sports equipment. Recently, Scott has also launched special women's bikes with adapted geometries, components and suspensions for each of these categories.

The Scott Contessa line caters to the needs and requirements of women. Not only are all bikes adapted accordingly, the accessories line also offers women-specific products, from backpacks and clothing to protective equipment.

To make it easier for women to choose the right bike, Scott differentiates between the following criteria and the corresponding bikes.

XC racer - Contessa Scale or Spark
All-mountain touring rider - Contessa Genius
Enduro rider - Contessa Genius LT
Freerider - Contessa Voltage
Downhill rider - Contessa Gambler

The bikes in the Contessa line have undergone some adjustments compared to the men's line. For example, the saddle and grips have been adapted for women and the grips have been sized accordingly. Thanks to the shorter top tube and lower standover height, the aluminum models offer a more comfortable riding position. The size of the handlebars and stem are also tailored to the needs of women.
