The lovingly illustrated report on the future of mountain biking is well worth reading. What will the mountain bike world look like in 20 years? Ride doesn't provide any answers, but interesting and well-founded visions. Thomas Giger is still responsible for the tour reports. He portrays the Varneralp, a route high above Leuk in Valais. The alp is regarded as the balcony of Switzerland and has one of the best panoramas to be found in Switzerland. Giger also presents a completely new singletrail version of the spring classic on Monte Bar in Ticino and takes readers on one of the longest singletrails in Graubünden. There is also a story about the descent from Furcletta to Arosa. This is known to connoisseurs as one of the most beautiful single trails in eastern Switzerland. Finally, the Sellaronda also makes it into the magazine. The Dolomites tour with cable car support is a route for all the senses and belongs in every mountain biker's palmarés. That's not all: Alban Aubert has brought home a wonderful photo report from Ecuador and national coach Bruno Diethelm explains why Switzerland is facing a problem with young talent. Bikes from Trek, Norco, Cube and Mondraker are also tested in the March issue. Pages: 132Content Ride 01/2013
