The result is one of the most extraordinary and comprehensive issues ever to come off the presses at Ride. The ten best and most impressive 3000-metre routes in the Alps have made it into the magazine, impressively illustrated as always and this time also graphically realized by illustrator Niklas Hughes. The magazine is a flight of fancy in every respect.

The following routes made it into the top ten of the best 3000-metre tours: Corno Bussola (Aosta Valley), Oberrothorn (Valais), Passo Zebrù (Valtellina), Piz Nair (Upper Engadine), Madritschjoch (Vinschgau), Barrhorn (Valais), Monte Chaberton (Val Susa), Mont Thabor (Val Susa), Aiguille de la Grande Sassière (Savoy) and Piz Umbrail (Val Müstair). They are all featured in the 05/2017 issue of Ride - a 170-page thick piece of thin-air diversity.

But Ride doesn't just feature large and exclusively illustrated tour reports. The 05/2017 issue also explores the question of the sense and nonsense of bike mountaineering and gives mountaineering legend Reinhold Messner, among others, a chance to have his say. And, as usual, there is also the latest news and interesting background information from the world of mountain biking.
