Ride N° 80 - July 2022

CHF 12.50

The warm temperatures in the mountains have put an end to the last patches of snow - clear the way for high alpine mountain bike adventures! The Saflisch Pass is one of the great Valais classics with a fantastic descent directly into the historic town center of Brig. If you want to test your limits, turn the page to the Haute Route in Graubünden. The route leads from the Julier Pass to Klosters and is a challenge - both in the ascents and the descents. It is a route of great emotions. The line-up for the July edition also includes the Sennes-Joch near St. Vigil. The route leads into solitude in the middle of the overcrowded Dolomites with an imposing backdrop of Fanes, Seekofel and Drei Zinnen.

A good dose of wanderlust is also included thanks to a fantastic trip to Lapland. In the autumn months, Finland lights up in a unique sea of colors, while the first northern lights can already be seen at night. A report based on the motto: "I have to go there!"

Every issue of Ride naturally also includes background reports. It gets personal: the July issue portrays former top mountain bikers and shows how they stay involved in the sport even without a race number. In addition, a story analyzes the development of mountain bike regions over the last twenty years and comes to the conclusion that everyone goes through the same phases and always makes the same mistakes.
