In terms of trail perspectives, the Poschiavino Trail is the first, a classic in the Upper Engadine, which presents itself in a new guise and proves that familiar trails can reach new heights with a little fine-tuning. The route continues into the Lower Valais, where it is not the high, glaciated mountains that suddenly dominate the landscape, but large industrial ruins. Things also get spectacular on the Crete Trail above Aosta: under the title Numero Uno, we take you on a trail adventure that offers bombastic views, alpine challenges and the finest single trails in one go. The tour route is rounded off with a detour to Genoa, where a new trail hotspot in Italy is emerging between the morbid harbor flair and steep Mediterranean slopes.

There are also new perspectives in the background reports, three in total. That would be the big topic of physical limitations and what it means when people in wheelchairs conquer the mountains on two wheels. And also: What actually happens when an American giant like Vail Resorts, operator of the legendary Whistler Bike Park, suddenly wants to get involved in the Alps? Finally, Ride looks deep into the purse strings and explains why top MTB sport has never made it to the big stage in terms of sponsorship.

The August issue also features another large lounge with all sorts of interesting and surprising facts from the mountain bike world, supplemented by several ride tests and large and unusual photo series.
