Spotguide Laax

The Grand Canyon is in Laax - at least the Swiss version. The Rhine Gorge is one of the most impressive natural spectacles in Switzerland, and a silky-smooth single trail leads right through it. But Laax has much more to offer and has established itself as a destination for mountain bike families. The award-winning Runca Trail is one of the few downhill trails that can be tackled with children and still not be boring. And those who have had enough of cycling can enjoy a beach vacation at Lake Cauma.

Getting there

Arrival by public transport

The Laax region is well served by post buses. These run from Chur railroad station, and some express buses also operate. Bike transport is possible, and special trailers are also used when demand is high.

Arrival by car

You can get to Laax by car via the cantonal road that starts at the Reichenau-Tamins highway exit.
