Segnespass
Description
There are two ways to tackle the ascent to the Segnespass: Either you can take the chairlift and gondola lift up to the Grauberg station, then cross the Segnas plain and from there shoulder your bike up to the Segnespass. The much more attractive, albeit tougher, option is to start in Bargis. The local bus rides up here, then you continue under your own steam. Initially you climb up a gravel road to Alp Rusna. Then you have to push and carry yourself up to Fuorcla Raschaglius, 700 meters further up. The effort is worth it because of the singletrail ahead. This leads almost flat through the impressive high alpine landscape to just below Martinsloch. However, the last section to the top of the pass requires you to shoulder your bike again. At the top of the pass, it's worth stopping for refreshments in the hut because the descent requires a lot more energy reserves. The first part of the descent is steep but fun to ride for good mountain bikers. The trail then becomes increasingly difficult until it is no longer rideable at Brüschegg. Now the bike has to be pushed almost as far as the Tschinglen-Alp. But now comes the brilliant final section: the descent down to Elm is really fun! In Elm, the adventure of the Segnespass is over, followed by the rather unspectacular transfer through the Sernftal valley to Schwanden. Here you board the train and ride back to Flims via Ziegelbrücke and Chur.
Note: There can be a lot of hikers on the entire route in high season and on fall weekends. A particularly considerate driving style is then required.

A wonderful tour in terms of scenery! However, for me and my companion, the descent was too steep. We feel very comfortable on the riding technique scale up to level 4. Here, the middle section of the descent is a clear 5 for a very long time!
Conclusion / tip: If you feel comfortable on the Ride riding technique scale 4, then cross the scenic and rewarding Segnas Pass via a classic hike! :-)
A third option for the ascent would be to take the train to Naraus and then carry it up to Fil de Cassons. From there, practically everything is rideable again until shortly before the pass. That's how I did the tour once.
