The TCS is currently testing a breakdown and accident assistance service for e-bike riders in a pilot project. Switzerland's largest mobility club is thus temporarily returning to its roots, as the TCS was founded in 1886 by cyclists to promote bicycle tourism.

On June 1 of this year, the bicycle vignette will disappear for good. It will be replaced by private liability insurance for cyclists. However, according to the Touring Club Switzerland, around ten percent of cyclists still do not have sufficient cover. In the event of an accident, they would have to bear the consequential costs themselves.
