Bergamont is changing hands: The Hamburg-based bike manufacturer has been under the BMC umbrella since 2008, but now BMC is parting ways with Bergamont. From now on, Scott Sports will manage Bergamont's business as the new owner.

With the En-Core, Bergamont is aiming for a wide range of uses from demanding tours to freeride excursions. For the time being, the 2016 En-Core comes with an aluminum main frame, 165 millimeters of travel and adjustable geometry. The cables can also be routed internally and externally.

Adrian Kiener and Bergamont Switzerland have been working together for four years. Adrian is a team rider for the Grenchen-based bike company. Now comes the CONTRAIL_AK signature bike, their biggest joint project to date - a twentyniner trail bike with Kiener's signature, limited to 30 units.

Bike manufacturer Bergamont, which is part of the BMC Group, has numerous new products in the mountain bike segment for Eurobike. Not only is a full-suspension mountain bike with 29er wheels new to the range, but the 650b format has also been added to the portfolio.

Faster than expected, ISH has reorganized Bergamont sales in Switzerland. As of March 1, all Swiss business for the recently acquired brand will be handled by the new Bergamont Swiss AG based in Grenchen.

The company that owns BMC is expanding into Germany. With retroactive effect from September 1 of this year, International Sport Holding AG (ISH) is taking over the Hamburg-based bike manufacturer Bergamont. As a result, the Grenchen-based bike group will become a full-range supplier with a considerable market volume.

The Hamburg-based company Bergamont calculates sharper than its neighbor Lumpi: The "Evolve Team Ltd", a full-suspension race bike with Manitou "Skareb" fork, Fox "Float" shock and complete XTR groupset including Centerlock hubs and disc brakes, is available in Switzerland for 4998 Fränkli - a veritable fighting price that should give some competitors pause for thought. As of September 1st, the line will be distributed in Switzerland by the company "swiss sport motion". There are no unknown names behind this company: Stefan Schaer and Reto Romano, both long-standing employees at Univega, the former even as managing director.
