For the first time, the rim specialist Enve is launching a wheel-specific carbon rim. The Enve-CX is aimed specifically at racers who are looking for a lightweight and robust rim at the same time. The tubular rim weighs 285 grams and can only be used with disc brakes.

Rigida is a large, long-established company in the bicycle industry, while Edge Composites is a young, up-and-coming company that has become an insider tip among lightweight construction freaks in just a few years. Despite these differences, the two component manufacturers have a lot in common: their focus is on wheels, and they are both rebranding themselves these days.
