Munich-based drivetrain specialist Fazua is ceasing operations. The company announced this in an emotional statement on Facebook. For the bike industry, this marks the end of a chapter that has had a decisive impact on the lightweight e-mountain bike category.

The Stuttgart sports car manufacturer's commitment to e-bikes is progressing: after the Croatian e-bike manufacturer Greyp landed under the Porsche umbrella in November 2021, the light-assist specialist Fazua is now rolling under Porsche's wing.

Trek's Supercaliber celebrates its wedding - with the Fazua drive. The result, in the top version, is an E-Fully that weighs just under 15.8 kilos. And thus puts almost everything else in the shade.

The tidy appearance of the Fazua drive ensures that the electric tailwind is hardly noticeable on a bike equipped in this way. A new control element that makes cables or displays superfluous will also contribute to this in future.
