Insolvencies are not only the order of the day in the bicycle industry, the motorcycle sector is also plagued by them. Pierer Mobility, the parent company of motorcycle manufacturer KTM, has filed for insolvency, which also applies to its e-bike brands Husqvarna, GasGas and Felt. Pierer has given away 11,000 e-bikes to employees in order to reduce excess stocks. KTM Fahrrad GmbH, which produces bicycles and e-bikes under the KTM brand, is not affected by the crisis.

Test events are great for riding lots of different bikes. However, there is often little time to devote to a single model. This is different on the weekend of October 22-24 in Pontresina. It's one of the big topics of 2017 in the bike industry: after many years as Managing Director of the Winora Group with brands such as Haibike and Winora, Susanne Puello announced this spring that she was leaving the company - and launching new bike brands. Now there are the first pictures of the bikes from Husqvarna and Raymon.
