The Tyee from Propain proves that it doesn't always have to be a radical new development. The enduro bike has been given a well thought-out update that consistently builds on the strengths of the original. The basis remains the same, but it has been improved in key technical, visual and functional areas. The Tyee has a fresh look, but offers more options than ever before.

Propain is revamping its portfolio for the youngsters, with a lineup ranging from a balance bike for the very young to an enduro bike for young shredders and a freerider for the park generation.

The Propain Rookies Cup enters another exciting season. The year 2025 brings a varied race calendar with some new locations. There will be five races in three different countries and will be a real challenge for the participants. The race series starts at the end of May in Winterberg (DE), continues on June 20 in Oberhof (DE), on July 11 in Saalbach (AT) and on August 8 in Königsberg. The final of the Rookies Cup will then begin on September 5, 2025 in Koprivna (CZE).

Power galore, playful geometry and a lightweight carbon frame. According to Propain, these are the right ingredients for an e-bike that feels at home on home trails as well as in the bike park. A test with the Sresh model showed whether the recipe works.

Propain presents the "Sresh", closing a gap in the e-bike line-up with a mid-stroke e-mountainbike that weighs only around 20 kilograms. Packed into the lightweight blend carbon frame with 150 millimetres of suspension travel, the 85 Newton meter Shimano EP801 motor and the 626 watt-hour battery provide a versatile basis for trail adventures, whether on tours or in bike parks.

Tour, trail, all-mountain? What is it now? The Propain Hugene has the answer. A bike that should always shred with 140 millimeters of travel at the rear and either 140 or 150 millimeters at the front. Whether it's a brisk trail ride, a day tour or an Alpine cross. According to Propain, the Hugene makes you a summiteer uphill and a baller downhill.

With the Ekano 2 CF, Propain presents the more manageable sister model of the Ekano 2 AL e-freerider. The new model is said to be lighter and more versatile, easy to ride for beginners but extremely potent for racers. Ride was allowed to test the latest e-mountainbike offspring from the Allgäu bike manufacturer in advance, with significant changes to the facial features.

In August 2023, Propain presented the Ekano 2 AL, the E-powered and versatile fun machine. Now the South German bike makers are delivering the chic carbon sister. Lighter, more versatile, with Sram's powerful Eagle Powertrain drivetrain and no less potent thanks to 170 millimetres of suspension travel.

With the Ekano 2 AL, Propain pursued the goal of designing an e-mountain bike that is the ultimate fun machine uphill and downhill. With 170 at the rear and up to 190 millimetres of travel at the front, the bike should not shy away from anything, without in any way conveying the usual sluggishness of e-bikes. It also comes with the latest, powerful Shimano drive, and at interesting prices starting at just under 5000 euros.

Riding up to a rock drop on the front wheel, conquering what is actually unrideable terrain - and making it look easy? This is what the world looks like when Rémy Métallier gets on his Propain bike. And he does it in Squamish, and completely without music, using the so-called raw method.

Propain has revised its enduro flagship Tyee. In addition to the modified geometry, the bike is now also available in rim sizes such as XS and XL. But above all: the cable guides have been designed so that nothing rattles any more. The only noises when riding: the crackling of the tires and your own breath.

Propain Bicycles launches the "Barney", a new 16-inch singlespeed kids mountain bike, and completely revamps the successful 20-inch "Dreckspatz" and "Frechdax" models. With the "Bam Bam" balance bike launched in 2022 and the 24-inch "Yuma" Youth Fully, Propain now offers bikes for all ages.

With Winterberg, Oberhof, Saalbach, St. Kassian and Schladming, the Propain Rookies Cup, the renowned race series for up-and-coming downhill riders, offers five varied races and routes that have already provided exciting races in 2022. As the name suggests, Propain Bicycles is the new title sponsor of the Rookies Cup. The organizing company Racement is extremely happy to have a German mountain bike manufacturer at its side that promotes young downhill talent and plays a key role in shaping the race series.

The new Tyee Enduro is the result of six years of development at Propain. So there is a wealth of experience in the new bike and an innovation: the Tyee is now also available with 29er wheels.

The Junior line was actually intended exclusively for the children of the three founders of Propain. But the Frechdax Kids Fully quickly won the hearts of little shredders. Now the kids' bikes are getting an update.

"Ekano" is the name of Propain's first bike to conquer the terrain with increased watt hours and torque. The bike, which can be configured from E-All Mountain to E-Enduro depending on the variant, features the familiar 8000 Shimano motor. Propain is also the first manufacturer to install the brand-new, integrated battery from Shimano.

Aluminum is dead? Not at all: Propain is sending three high-quality aluminum bikes onto the trails: the Park Rat "Rage", a downhill and park bike with 200 millimeters of travel and modern geometry, and the bestsellers "Tyee" and "Tyee AM" for enduro and all-mountain use, which also have bike park approval.

Propain has gone one better with the Tyee Carbon enduro bike and the Tyee AM Carbon all-mountain bike (Tyee is the Indian word for chief). In addition to a geometry update, the bikes also feature larger bearings, stiffer frames and more progressive rear suspension. The frames are also classified as category 5 and therefore have bike park approval.

"Hugene" is the name of Propain's latest creation and is the interpretation of the perfect trail bike. It should be easy to ride up the mountain and put a big grin on your face on the way down. To achieve this, the brand relies on 29-inch wheels, the optimized Pro10 suspension system with 130 millimetres of travel and a balanced geometry that combines smoothness and agility.

With the Yuma model, Propain already has a junior racer in its portfolio - and this fully is rolling into the 2018 model year with a new rear suspension concept. The speedster from Lake Constance is a fully-fledged mountain bike for enduro to downhill in terms of geometry and suspension travel with 140 millimetres, which remains up-to-date for several seasons thanks to 24 and 26-inch wheels.

Propain is even more committed to promoting young talent and offers talented young riders aged 8 to 14 the support they need to develop as riders and get into gravity mountain bike racing. The team's coach is none other than German downhill legend Marcus Klausmann.

The bikes from German direct mail order company Propain are not yet so well known in this country. But their mountain bikes are by no means wallflowers. A look at the portfolio reveals a variety of cool and classy-looking models. For the test, we picked out the Tyee "AM Carbon Race" with 145 millimetres of suspension travel.

After the junior bikes Frechdax and Yuma, Propain is now rolling out a hardtail for the little ones. The bike called Dreckspatz comes with 20" wheels and is designed to ensure maximum riding fun for the youngsters.

At the end of the year, Propain is launching two new products. After the limited "First Edition", the "Rage Carbon" downhill bike is now being launched in the series versions. The all-mountain version of the Tyee is now also available in aluminum. Here, a frame forms the basis for a sporty all-mountain bike and a potent enduro bike with plenty of reserves and bike park approval.
