"Half a step in the right direction" is how the Syntace makers describe the Boost standard launched by Trek and Sram. But the Bavarians can afford the big mouth, because they are responsible for the clever X-12 axle. The German designers are now presenting their own version of the Boost standard.

Until now, if you wanted to roll through the terrain on Syntace's wide rims, you had to get a whole wheel. After the hubs, the Bavarians are now also releasing the rims for wheel builders.

The X-12 axle is a clever way to give the rear triangle rigidity and simplify wheel installation. With the "X-Fix", a loyal companion also fits into the axle, which gets small repairs under control.

Syntace presents new, lightweight wheels with exceptionally wide rims and promotes obvious advantages.

Syntace has set itself a high target: The newly developed X-12 thru axle should not only be significantly stiffer than a conventional design on the rear wheel, but even lighter than a normal hub with quick release.
