Cross country like never before, bikes for Africa and Red Bull TV

Stuff picks

At Sram, Zipp is responsible for the wheels - and with the 1Zero Hitop wheelset is launching a smart system for agile and forgiving performance on fast courses. Veloafrica, the bicycle-collecting non-profit organization from Bern, is celebrating a milestone just in time for its 30th anniversary: The three hundred thousand bicycles have left Switzerland for Ghana. And anyone missing Rob Warner and Eliot Jackson will get streaming supplies.

Light and smooth: the cross country bikes from Zipp

Cross Country LRS Sram

With 1325 grams for the front and rear wheel, the 1ZERO HITOP SW wheelset is not just good on the scales. Thanks to the asymmetrical and wide rim shape, flats should be a thing of the past. Thanks to the not-too-high wheel stiffness, the wheels should roll particularly smoothly through difficult terrain.

Veloafrica celebrates its anniversary

Velafrica - bike to school

In October 2023, Velafrica celebrates its 30th anniversary. Since 1993, the non-profit organization from Bern has been collecting disused bicycles, repairing them in social institutions in Switzerland and exporting them to partners in Africa. Velafrica is celebrating a special milestone just in time for its anniversary: the 300,000th bicycle has left Switzerland for Ghana.
