When Storm Darragh swept over Dyfi, it left whole sections of forest as a field of rubble. Trees were snapped, branches were trapped under the weight, and the entire area was transformed into a tangle of man-sized debris. Even walking on this area felt threatening. Driving on it was something else entirely. Months later, Gee Atherton returned to the hardest-hit slope and began carving a path through what the storm had left behind.
