Since 1993, distribution heavyweight Intercycle has been servicing and working the Swiss market with Marzocchi suspension elements. Following the acquisition of Marzocchi by Fox, there has now also been a change of distribution in Switzerland: Marzocchi mountain bike products are now at home with the Swiss Fox distributor Fuchs-Movesa.

"After last year's acquisition of Marzocchi by Fox Factory Inc. this step has been announced. As the entire Marzocchi product line is now manufactured in the Fox factory, the consolidation of service and distribution for Switzerland and Liechtenstein is the logical consequence," says Nicole Hänz, Head of Marketing Services at Fuchs-Movesa.

Technical service and warranty services will now be handled by the Fox Service Center at Fuchs-Movesa in Lupfig. In terms of sales, the "Shimano & Velozubehör" customer advisors responsible for the area are available in the field service or, as usual, the proven team in the internal sales department.

Back, and how: The Bomber Z1

For the 2019 model year, Marzocchi is harking back to successful old times with the "Bomber Z1" and the "Bomber 58", setting two strong accents in the Enduro & Gravity sector. "The brand is repositioning itself slightly below Fox and will thus offer phenomenal alternatives to customers with an affinity for price and quality. The products can now be ordered by specialist retailers via the B2FUMO online platform and will be available from the end of May / beginning of June," Hänz continues.

With the "Bomber Z1", Marzocchi launched an absolute cult fork on the market in 1997. The open oil bath, the steel spring and the solid construction ensured unadulterated riding fun and significantly shaped the freeride trend. Today's Z1 offers proven function thanks to Fox internals, Fit Grip damping with adjustable compression and rebound damping and a Float Evol air chamber from Fox. Stiffness is also ensured with a 36 millimeter chassis. With suspension travel of 130 to 170 millimetres in the 29" and 27.5" Plus sizes and suspension travel of 150 to 180 millimetres in the 27.5" size and a classic red or black fork color, the Z1 will soon experience a veritable resurrection.

Partially already available. And: No comeback for the Bomber Girls

For the 2019 model year, Marzocchi is also launching a downhill fork under the leadership of Fox, the "Bomber 58", as well as a dropper post, which of course also relies on the high-quality and durable innards from Fox. The "Bomber 58" in red is already available from Fuchs-Movesa, the other forks and their variants should be available around the end of May. However, the lightly clad bomber girls are not celebrating a comeback. In times of the metoo debate, marketing with oiled, bikini-clad women has become a clear no-go.
