Pendix has launched a new app for its retrofit drive: the new Pendix.bike PRO app offers an optimized user interface and enhanced features for both Pendix users and dealers. The main new feature is that the app can now communicate with the battery. This means that firmware updates can be downloaded directly to the battery. The range of functions for dealers is more extensive, allowing Pendix partners to make changes to the system on site.

The new app allows both Pendix users and dealers to create a user account. They can use it to access all information about their bike and the drivetrain. Personal data such as the rider's height and weight can also be entered here. Over the course of the next few months, functions that use this data will be added on a regular basis. This will make individualized calculations possible.

A new feature is the cadence display. This allows the rider to optimize the range of their Pendix eDrive. Personalization and direct communication with the battery have made a completely new app necessary. However, the intuitive Pendix eDrive can still be used to its full extent without an app.

The app is available free of charge from the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. Pendix offers an update and exchange program for older batteries. Older batteries with a USB interface can either be sent in and fitted with the new firmware or receive the necessary update at trade fairs.
