Since 1980, Ortovox has been offering equipment for ski touring and freeriding in winter, and is already active in summer with equipment for alpine climbing and mountaineering. The commitment to the summer business is now increasing considerably:

In cooperation with SQlab and Gore Tex, the first mountain bike collection is rolling out, called the Sequence series. This is divided into the Trail and Free lines. The latter is baggier and also features wool in some cases. The Trail pieces rely on robust material and many functional details. The fresh collection is rounded off with hip packs and rucksacks.

The Ortovox Safety Academy, a training initiative in mountain sports, is being expanded to include mountain biking and will also offer first aid services for the community in future. A partnership with the German Mountain Bike Initiative e.V. (DIMB) underlines this focus of Ortovox.
