Pivot defies gravity with the new MACH 4 SL

Pivot Cycles presents the new Mach 4 SL - at 1845 grams, its lightest cross-country frame to date with 100 millimetres of suspension travel. Optimized down to the last detail, the bike is designed to excel on technically demanding race tracks in particular. Another cornerstone: The XS size fits riders just under 150 centimeters tall. The Mach 4 SL is available in three color variants and is available now.

Starting at 1845 grams frame weight, the full-suspension carbon frame of the Mach 4 SL is one of the lightest in this category. The frame is said to have the best stiffness-to-weight ratio that Pivot's engineers have ever achieved. The new Mach 4 SL frame is also over 300 grams lighter than its predecessor, the Mach 429 SL.

New and proven

The integration of the Fox Live Valve system gives the Mach 4 SL an even more powerful cross-country chassis. The efficiency benefits are undeniable, and the speed achieved on any part of the course is outstanding. The shock layout may look different, but the Dw-Link® suspension with 100 millimeters of travel retains its popular handling characteristics: outstanding pedaling efficiency, sensitive response under load and responsive performance under braking - everything you'd expect from a modern cross-country race bike.

The Mach 4 SL fits most riders without compromise. The new frame size XS even fits people with a height of just 147 centimeters and still has a lower standover height than our Mach 4 Carbon with 27.5-inch wheels. "With the Mach 4 SL, I always have enough capacity for handlebar height adjustments and spacers under my stem - I've never had that on a 29er race bike," says "Stan's Pivot" athlete Chloe Woodruff (158 centimeters tall). "And I can still fit a large water bottle in my XS frame!"

The Mach 4 SL has a slacker head angle, a longer reach and shorter chainstays. Just right for the increasingly demanding cross-country routes in the World Cup.

Prices, specifications and availability

The new Mach 4 SL will be available in three colorways - Team Blue, Cherry and Stealth. It is available as a frame, frame kit and complete bike in several configurations. The different equipment variants range from 3,599 to 13,549 euros. The Mach 4 SL is now available in all sizes from all Pivot dealers worldwide and also in small quantities in Switzerland.
