To further develop summer tourism in the region, the Kitzbühel and Kirchberg region is also focusing on a wide range of mountain biking options. Through 2030, approximately 1.2 million euros are to be invested annually in the qualitative development of these offerings. One project resulting from this strategy is the newly opened Kirchberg Trail, which, at ten kilometers, is the longest flow trail in Tyrol.

On January 24, Austria's tireless pioneer of mountain biking, Tyrolean Kurt Exenberger, passed away. He not only shaped the sport itself, but also a generation of athletes as a coach.
