In the men's event, Canadian Jackson Goldstone becomes elite world champion for the first time, just under two seconds ahead of Germany's Henri Kiefer and Ireland's Ronan Dunne.

The seventh day of the 2025 Mountain Bike World Championships in Valais brings spectacular pump track action. Sabina Košárková (CZE) and Eddy Clerté (FRA) secure the gold medals in Monthey. While Košárková triumphs in the women's final by a wafer-thin margin ahead of Christa von Niederhäusern (CH), Clerté narrowly beats Swiss rider Tristan Borel in the men's final.

In exactly three years, Valais will host the 2025 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, bringing together seven mountain bike disciplines for the first time in the history of the UCI. On Tuesday morning, the "CM MTB Valais 2025" association presented the project in the company of the host destinations and world-class athletes Jolanda Neff and Camille Balanche. The International Cycling Union (UCI) has entrusted Valais with the organization of the combined UCI Mountain Bike World Championships 2025, which will take place in September 2025. For the first time in the history of the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships, all seven mountain bike disciplines will be held in a single region.

Valais has submitted a bid to the UCI for the organization of the 2025 Mountain Bike World Championships. If the bid is successful, Crans-Montana, the Dents du Midi region, Grächen, Leukerbad, Verbier and Val d'Anniviers, Monthey and Zermatt have been confirmed as the venues. The first combined mountain bike world championships will be awarded in September.

Sauser now expresses his perfectionism as well as his passion for sport and enjoyment in his new profession - roasting coffee. The former cross-country world champion thus decided against working for Specialized and in favour of his company "Horizonte Coffee Roasters".
