Rock Shox 2017: The people's forks

Pike, RS-1 or SID: these are forks from the suspension pioneer that arouse desire and ultimately reward the rider with performance and prestige. However, there are also target groups that can do without the top models. And it is precisely for these bikers that Rock Shox has freshly revised forks in its portfolio.

Recon, Sektor or 30 - these are forks that are fitted to bikes from a price range of around 1000 to 1500 francs. A bike in this price range often marks the entry into the sport of mountain biking and is the start of a potential passion. The suspension forks therefore have an important role to play: they should provide off-road aspirants with comfort and safety and be geared towards the function of their more expensive counterparts.

Rock Shox has reorganized its portfolio of entry-level forks for the 2017 model year, which starts in May based on the initial availability of the new forks, and has given the forks some of the technologies of the top models.

The Recon and Sektor forks now feature the Boost installation width, while the wheel sizes are 27.5 and 29 inches. The 30 Gold RL fork is also available in these wheel dimensions, but not yet in the Boost size, instead in the standard 26 inch, which has become an antique within a few years.
