As part of the 25th anniversary of the SPD shoes and pedals, Shimano is launching the M200 enduro and trail shoe in blue. The XTR pedals M995 and M990 also come in the matching color. Both will be launched on the market in a limited edition in August 2015.

Looking back to 1990, Shimano's launch of the M737 SPD pedal and the compatible M100 shoe was a groundbreaking moment for many mountain bikers. It divided opinion at the time in the same way that twentyniners did a few years ago. In February of this year, the Japanese company presented an anniversary version of these revolutionary clickies and pedals (to the ride report).
Now Shimano is going one better and celebrating the 25th anniversary of this fixed binding with another anniversary version. This August, the SH-M200 enduro shoes and the two XTR pedals - the PD-M995 trail version and the PD-M990 race version - will be available in bright blue. However, this anniversary edition is limited to 1,200 pairs of shoes and 1,900 pairs of pedals for the European two-wheeler market.
