The Ardèche region in south-eastern France boasts one of the most impressive landscapes in France. The eponymous river Ardèche has carved its way through the limestone and formed impressive gorges. One of the landmarks of the region in the south of France is the natural rock bridge Vallon-Pont-d'Arc. The rough and dry limestone formations contrast with green, cultivated plains with lavender fields and sparse forests with first-class single trails, from flowing to wild and pristine.
