Do you know your way around bike mechanics, especially e-bikes? Do you love bikes and enjoy working with people? Then we might be a good fit.

We’re Gütlin Velo, an independent bike shop in Binningen near Basel. With our team of three employees, we handle everything you’d expect from a top-notch bike shop: repairs, service, sales, and personalized customer advice.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re a trained bike mechanic, a bike mechatronics technician, or a passionate cyclist who’s taught yourself how to work on bikes. What matters to us isn’t just what’s on your resume, but what you can do, how you work, and whether you’re a good fit for us.

We’re looking for someone who wants to be a long-term part of our team, enjoys working independently, and can keep a clear head even during hectic moments.

What to Expect

• Varied work with bicycles and e-bikes, from repairs to sales.
• Direct customer contact and the opportunity to assist customers from the moment they drop off their bike for repair until it’s ready for pickup.
• Modern bicycle technology, training, and continuing education.
• Quick decision-making processes, a high degree of personal responsibility, and room for your own ideas.
• A workload of 50 to 80 percent.

We take the time to thoroughly train you. Our goal is for you to eventually be able to run the shop independently on certain days—from the workshop to customer service to sales.

Gütlin Velo is certified as an “Excellent Workshop” by the industry association 2rad Schweiz. Quality is important to us, as is a straightforward and collegial work environment.

Curious?

Then we look forward to receiving your application, including your resume and a short cover letter. We’re particularly interested in your professional experience, what appeals to you about this position, and why you’d like to work at Gütlin Velo.
