For the second time since 2025, the traditional GP Osterhas is taking place as part of the Škoda Swiss Bike Cup. And just like last year, Aline Seitz is once again the winner of the women’s elite race. The former mountain biker and current track specialist clinched the thrilling race, which remained close until the very end, on points, relegating the young Swiss rider Mara Winter to second place in a tight head-to-head battle. “I decided to come to the GP Osterhas on a whim because I really like the format and wanted to defend my victory from last year,” says Seitz. “Plus, the race helps me prepare for the Track World Cup in Malaysia. I’m happy with how things went today.” Behind Seitz and Winter, Alessandra Keller secured third place. For Keller, this is her first race since winning the prestigious Cape Epic just over two weeks ago. 

In the men’s 100-lap race, Germany’s Jonas Schmeiser came out on top. New Zealander Christian Rush finished second. European Scratch Champion Alex Vogel flew the Swiss flag, taking third place. “I’ve ridden here many times and it’s always a lot of fun, even though the races are extremely tough,” says Vogel. Local hero Cédric Graf also put in a strong performance, finishing in seventh place. 

In the U19 category, Dennis Flückiger delivered an impressive performance. He won his home race convincingly, relegating his compatriots Andri Steinmann and Diego Capelli to second and third places. In the U17 category, Germany’s Amon Rothe celebrated an unchallenged victory. Fynn Stebler takes the win in the U15 category. There is a French triumph in the women’s FB category: Dorine Monnier wins decisively ahead of Vivien Greuter and Anna Graf. 

The Škoda Swiss Bike Cup continues on May 9 in Moléson-sur-Gruyères, featuring a kids-only race for the first time.
