The e-bike drive provider Brose is rolling under the Yamaha umbrella, and now it is becoming clear what the future holds for the power units from Berlin: under the name Qore, and with a new drive concept.

Vehicle parts manufacturer Brose is withdrawing from the electric motor business for e-bikes - and is selling its e-bike development to Japanese motor specialist Yamaha.

Brose E-Bike is consistently continuing its quality offensive. The Berlin-based e-bike system provider has gradually improved its magnesium drives around the Drive S Mag motor. The targeted further developments have significantly extended the service life in particular - but the benefits for customers and end users should be even more extensive.

Brose's e-bike division reached a significant milestone at the end of February: the supplier produced its  two millionth e-bike drive at its Berlin site. The "Brose Drive System" consisting of drive, battery, display and app offers a particularly harmonious riding experience. Brose works according to established automotive industry standards, which should benefit manufacturers and users alike. In summer, the family-owned company will present its new e-bike system with the latest drive generation at Eurobike 2023.

The Brose Drive S Mag e-bike drive has been honored with the German Design Award 2020. This is the second prestigious design award this year for the Berlin-based manufacturer's motors, which are used in e-mountainbikes from Specialized and Bulls, for example.

Brose - whose motor is known from Specialized's e-mountainbikes - is offering a specially developed e-bike system for the first time. And now offers drive, battery and display from a single source.
