The War of the Stars is raging on the big screen, while the war of standards is raging in the bike industry. On bikes, another revolt has just started over the bottom bracket. Purple, turquoise - and now the color "sour apple": Chris King goes colourful when it comes to special editions. This year it's a bright green to give the bike a colorful accent. There's even something for coffee and culinary lovers too.

The color selection at component specialist Chris King is already impressive, but now the Americans are striking with a limited edition. Selected products - including headsets and hubs, of course - are available in anodized turquoise.

The characteristic sound of the freehub on the King hub will soon also be heard in combination with Shimano's 11-speed drivetrain. In contrast to the "Classic" hubs, which will remain set up for 10-speed, the "R45" rear hub will receive an adapted freehub body and a new axle for the gear jump.

"Prince would be proud" is how the component specialist - alluding to the funk rock classic "Purple Rain" - praises the upcoming series of parts in purple. The unique production series includes components for road bikes, BMX and mountain bikes.

No company has held up the flag for the classic aheadset headset as consistently as Chris King. This summer, however, this is set to come to an end, at least in part: Chris King is launching its first integrated headset on the market.

Is it coming or not? - It is coming! After several years of development, US bearing specialist Chris King is launching its first bottom bracket on the market. The bearing was one of numerous King innovations at this year's Interbike.

Chris King headset bearings and hubs have a reputation for sheer indestructibility like almost no other bike parts. The parts are now also available in the right sizes for hardcore freeriders.
