In 2012 it was the color purple, a year ago it was turquoise, now it's a bright green that Chris King anodizes onto a selected line of components. Naturally, the "sour apple" edition includes hubs for road bikes, mountain bikes and BMX in numerous axle standards. Numerous bottom brackets and head bearings in various popular standards are also included.

To round off the color of the bike on the steerer tube, spacers in 1 1/8-inch format are also included. For espresso fetishists, the Chris King espresso tamper - in "sour apple" anodized finish, of course - could be something: With a diameter of 58 millimeters, the imitation headset fits perfectly to compress the espresso powder before it goes into the machine. King adds a salt and pepper shaker to the special edition for a further intersection of culinary art and cycling enthusiasm.

According to the Swiss Chris King distributor Frame of Mind, the parts for the special edition are already available from the manufacturer and will be offered from October 2014 to May 2015. Frame of Mind is currently taking orders from specialist retailers
