A trend shows substance when renowned accessory manufacturers get involved. This has now happened at DT Swiss: The Biel-based component specialist presents brand new fat bike wheels. The weight of the "BR 2250" makes you sit up and take notice - and the eye is flattered with understatement.

In the last round of training, everything revolved around repair work on suspension elements and wheels; in the upcoming winter period, the focus will also shift to wheel construction during the DT Swiss dealer courses. From November to February, the Swiss component flagship is now offering three different courses.

The Biel-based wheel specialist is presenting the new "Spline One" wheel series at the "Sea Otter Classic" festival. The Spline series is available in all three wheel sizes and in three versions. Tubeless-ready rims from 24 to 30 millimetres wide, a new hub and other details are designed to provide more stability at a low weight. The price for these wheelsets should also remain within reasonable limits.

"Spline" is the buzzword for the Swiss wheel experts in 2013 - the Biel-based company is launching a new system wheel group with "Straight Pull Hubs" under this label. DT Swiss is using this new product branch to make inroads into the 650b business.

DT Swiss and the accessories specialist E. Wiener Bike Parts, part of the Winora Group, have agreed to work together in 2012. With the delivery of the E. Wiener Bike Parts 2012 catalog, the Winora Group will then distribute spokes, wheels, rims and hubs from the Biel-based company.

Just in time for the start of the racing season, Swiss wheel specialist DT Swiss presents its first MTB tubular wheelset, the "XRC 950 T".

With the opening of a plant in Poznan/Oborniki, Poland, the Biel-based wheel specialist is taking another step towards growth. The 5000 square meter facility has expanded production capacity for the wheels developed in Switzerland. At the same time, a European service center for DT Swiss products will be put into operation at the new site.

T DT Swiss has significantly revised its fork range for the coming season. While completely new forks have been added to the range, existing models have been upgraded. DT Swiss is using several new technologies in the revised range.

The Swiss wheel manufacturer DT Swiss presented a new wheel system at this year's Eurobike. The "Tricon" system features several innovations, which are used in the new "XM 1550 Tricon" mountain bike wheelset and the "RR 1450 Tricon" road wheelset.

DT Swiss presents the M1600, a new wheelset for the all-mountain sector. It lies between the M1450 (cross-country) and the EX1750 (enduro), but can be used for a wide range of applications thanks to various hub options. DT Swiss supplies hubs with a classic quick-release axle, 15 or 20 millimeter thru-axles, both front and rear. The weight of around 1600 grams is also impressive. The new wheelset will be available in stores from the fall.

The current owner family would like to place their life's work in good hands and have found the ideal partner for this intention in DT Swiss.

The Biel-based company DT Swiss has long since evolved from a pure wheel specialist to a supplier of a wide range of components. And so the first preview of new products for the coming season is diverse: The proven "XR 4.1"rim also comes with ceramic-coated sidewalls, while the "FR 4.1" is a counterpart for the rough stuff. Also at the start: Saint-compatible versions of the "Hügi FR"hubs and a special version of the "SSD 210"strut, which fits into the LRS frames from Centurion, Merida and Bergwerk.

The website of the Biel-based bike company DT Swiss is being redesigned. The renowned web design agency Pixelpark was awarded the contract for the production. The new design of the website is intended to communicate the high quality standards of DT Swiss' conception, design and development online. One of the factors in favor of Pixelpark was its geographical proximity, as the web service provider has an office in Biel/Bienne.

After several years of development work, DT Swiss has started production of "high-end" rims in Switzerland. Only welded rims are to be manufactured, with production based on the SBWT (strengt boost welding technology) process developed by DT Swiss. This innovative welding technology guarantees a torsionally rigid and homogeneous rim.

The Biel-based company DT Swiss is constantly presenting products that go beyond the scope of its previous product range. After suspension struts and rims, a tubeless kit now follows: with the help of a special valve, a rim and adhesive tape as well as a special sealant, UST tires can be used on DT rims without a tube. This not only reduces the risk of punctures, but also offers advantages in terms of traction and comfort, as you can ride with far less air pressure without the risk of punctures.

With the newly developed "HVR" shock absorber, DT Swiss is targeting touring bikers and freeriders. The platform damper does not offer a hard-hitting blockade for asphalt climbs. Instead, you can use a setting wheel to determine the pressure at which a valve integrated in the compression stage should open. This allows the characteristics of the shock absorber to be varied from sporty and firm to buttery soft. Thanks to the increased air volume, the spring characteristic is even more linear: this brings the performance of the "HVR" closer to that of steel spring shock absorbers and makes it ideal for trail bikes with more than 100 millimetres of suspension travel.

The Swiss high-tech component specialist "DT Swiss" is continuing to expand and has started work on another new building this week. Over the next 18 months, a two-storey production and logistics building and a four-storey administration wing will be erected at the existing production site in Längfeld in Biel. The investment volume amounts to 30 million francs.

What is right for professionals like Nino Schurter, Florian Vogel and Nathalie Schneitter can now also be expensive for private individuals: DT Swiss is upgrading its XRC 100 Race cross-country suspension fork with additional carbon elements and launching it on the market in a limited edition.

For 2010, DT Swiss is presenting a range of new wheelsets. The most striking highlight of the products presented is certainly the EXC 1550 carbon wheelset for enduro/freeride use. DT Swiss is using carbon for the first time in this class.
