At first, pictures of Sam Hill's DH prototype appeared as part of the coverage of the "John Waddell Fundraiser" ? then they disappeared from the server again after an intervention by Ironhorse. In the meantime, the bike manufacturer has capitulated to the power of the internet ? and released the images of the prototype. Next year, however, only the riders of the Madcatz-Ironhorse racing team, i.e. the Aussies Sam Hill and Bryan Atkinson and the young Canadian Mathieu Laurin, will be riding the bike. Series production is not planned before 2005.

The "Iron Horse" brand is changing Swiss distributors (again). After initially being part of the "Oxygen Sports" range, the US brand recently moved to "Aktis Distribution" and now has a new home with the company "Magic Downhill". Simon Schwander, who is still an active downhiller, is responsible for coordinating sales. He acts as a link between Swiss specialist retailers and "Iron Horse Europe" in England, where the central "Iron Horse" European warehouse is located.

The bike brand "Iron Horse" is currently experiencing turbulent times. The US bike manufacturer is part of the "World Wide Cycle Supply" portfolio, which has now announced its insolvency and the dissolution of the company. While brands such as K2 and Columbia have already found new owners, "Iron Horse" is currently still available.

The Canadian Dorel Group is still on a shopping spree in the bike industry: after GT, Schwinn and Cannondale, the company has also acquired Iron Horse.
