Cane Creek launches new headset

With the new "Double X" 44 millimeter headset from Cane Creek, a tapered steerer tube with a 1.5 inch diameter can also be installed on the steerer tube of a conventional mountain bike frame. However, this requires a 1 1/8 inch semi-integrated head tube with a diameter of 44 millimetres (ZeroStack standard).

The lower bearing is now positioned on the outside, creating the additional space required for the thicker head tube. The bearing is therefore positioned on the outside of the head tube, which increases the installation height by 10 millimetres.
