déjà-vu: Berria Bikes goes Scott

Berria Bikes Mako

Stuff picks

If you take a quick look, you'll probably think you're looking at a bike from Bold or Scott. However, it is the Mako model from Spanish manufacturer Berria, where the shock is housed in the frame in a confusingly similar way. Incidentally, Bold shows how the original rides in a clip worth seeing: Rob Heran lets rip on cult trails like Slickrock or Porcupine Rim in Moab. And Trek presents the Marlin+, an e-bike version of its most popular mountain bike.

In the fourth evolutionary stage, Berria Bikes takes a big step in system integration: the shock disappears inside the frame, a rocker link connects the rear triangle with the suspension element. The fully is designed as a cross-country machine, with the rear triangle offering 113 millimetres of travel.
