Founded in 2007, the DT Swiss Polska SP branch opened another building complex in May 2016, almost doubling its covered floor space to almost 12,000 square meters. Over 80 new jobs were created as part of the expansion, meaning that more than 300 employees now work in Oborniki, which is roughly halfway between Berlin and Warsaw.

According to a DT Swiss press release, this step was necessary in order to meet the increasing OEM product demand from bicycle manufacturers as well as the growing end customer business. With the expansion of the site in Poland, DT Swiss is meeting the needs of the bicycle industry to produce closer to the European sales markets. The high quality of the products remains the top priority and is ensured, for example, by the fact that all wheels are built entirely by hand. In addition to the expansion of production capacity, the service center has also been extended.
