The Freefall - Race down the Matterhorn for downhillers will not be held in 2009. The organizers decided to cancel the bike spectacle on 21/22.3.09 this year due to the fact that the date was set too early for a perfect organization and execution.

The main reason was the lack of fun factor, which only really comes into its own when there are between 100 and 150 racers taking part. Because it is precisely this group dynamic - with its unique adrenaline rush - that drives all downhillers to sporting heights. Conclusion from the race organizers: Be fair to the racers and plan this top event well in advance.

Good news: However, this cannot throw real bikers off the slopes. Because the good news for all downhillers: Freefall - Race down the Matterhorn will take place on March 20 and 21, 2010. With all the trimmings that make this fantastic race so special. In this respect, it is now also in your hands to crack the necessary limit of at least 100 participants.

So: go full throttle now and spread the word to all your like-minded friends! The reward is the crowning glory for every biker's heart: on perfectly groomed ski slopes, surrounded by a fantastic mountain panorama, all bikers ride from 3883 meters above sea level down to 1620 meters above sea level in the idyllic mountain village of Zermatt.

Last but not least: The super-cool prizes remain. Four attractive helicopter flights will be up for grabs. Two tickets will go to the winners (men and women). Two other participants will be drawn and will take off in the helicopter together with the winners. It's best to get started right away: make a note in your diary now and be sure to take part in 2010!
