24 locations will continue to operate under the Ochsner Sport brand, 3 locations under the Dosenbach brand. All employees of the affected stores will be taken on. Apprentices at all SportX stores will be able to continue their training seamlessly at Ochsner Sport. Negotiations are currently underway with various other interested parties for the remaining 22 of Migros' 49 SportX stores. The takeover of the stores is subject to review by the Swiss Competition Commission.

Ochsner Sport is currently planning to take over the 24 SportX stores by March 1, 2025 at the latest and continue to operate them under the "Ochsner Sport" brand. Warranties and services for products purchased by customers from SportX will be fully taken over and ensured by Ochsner Sport. The three SportX stores acquired from Dosenbach will also be operated under the Dosenbach brand as of March 1, 2025.

Negotiations are currently underway with various other interested parties for the remaining 22 of Migros' 49 SportX stores throughout Switzerland.

Dosenbach-Ochsner AG has been part of the German Deichmann Group since 1973 and 1992 respectively. Dosenbach is considered the market leader in the Swiss footwear market, while Ochsner Sport has the same position in the Swiss sports retail sector and will expand this position with this acquisition.

Migros is also currently looking for a new owner for the Bike World specialist bicycle retail format.
